Next week we will start harvest forestry work on Nichol Road for 2 weeks. Then we will be a few days on the Belt Road and we will finish near the main camp.
For Nichol Road and the Belt this is a mature softwood stand crop in the process of reversal. For the stand near the main camp, this is the harvest of the plantation which has reached an irreversible stage of decline. We will keep the deciduous trees there and complete the regeneration with reforestation in spring 2022 if necessary.
At the end of the summer, before the hunting season, we will return to do a thinning cut in the leafy stand located at the end of the Belt.
The transport of wood will possibly also begin next week if the weather permits.
